Update………. we made a whopping total of £972.47, so a great big thank you to everyone who donated in some way, it all goes to this incredible charity, a fabulous combined effort from all businesses involved.
Cancer Research is our chosen charity for the year, a charity close to all of our hearts for many reasons, affecting family, friends and even our lovely customers.
We have teamed up with Burton Upon Trent & District Fundraising Group for Cancer Research in a bid to raise as much money, collectively as possible throughout September with a whole host of activities & fund raisers for all to take part in.
On Thursday 25th September we have a very brave chap coming into the showroom to be waxed by Sam from SJP Beauty in Tutbury, all welcome to come & cheer Ian / hold his hand / mop his brow. We are also expecting Burton Radio to join us too for a running commentary which will be great fun.
After the wax-a-thon, Dave has planned a walk from the shop here on Derby Road, and will be around 5 miles over the old bridge, through Stapenhill Gardens & back round through the town, ending up back at the shop where a BBQ will be served to all those who take part in the charity walk, aptly named the Washlands Walk for Cancer research UK Burton. There will be members of the charity available on the day/night to talk you through how your money is used.
We are also holding a raffle throughout September to anyone who comes into store & be in with the chance of winning a voucher to be used in store for £200 for the first prize, with many other exciting prizes kindly donated by our furniture manufacturers.
