24th September 2026 – UPDATE……….Well, the road is open, flowing well, lines all painted and it is as smooth as a pint of Marston’s Pedigree (or whatever your local tipple). Not a pot hole in sight, an absolute joy to travel to & from work.
Come on down and try for yourself without the worry of a burst tyre (or worse) the team have done so well working through extreme temperatures and the job is done.
10th September 2026 – UPDATE………….Derby Road remains fully open and is running well whilst works continue on levelling the roads ready for the final heave ho to tarmac the road sometime the week commencing 14th September to finally have it completed. Keep checking back for more updates, but it’s really straight forward to get into the shops down Derby Road now.
17th August 2026 – UPDATE…….. Derby Road is now open from both ends with traffic lights in place at the Pirelli Stadium end. There are still signs at the Derby Turn end stating that the road is closed, but it isn’t. The road closures moving forward from tonight will be overnight for the coming week to 10 days. Check back for more updates
Derby Road is currently undergoing essential roadworks (which we are so grateful for) with a one way system in place starting at Pirelli Stadium roundabout, heading down towards the Derby Turn island.
During this time the showroom will remain open daily & so far very little disruption has been experienced, just increased traffic around school drop off / pick up.
The teams are working hard to improve the road networks in & around Burton, Derby Road being particularly bad with pot-holes, but it is a very well used road in & out of town, so understandably requires works to be done.
